The Challenge
Peterbilt needed the new site to embody the brand’s rich heritage, speak to the concerns of fleet buyers and owner-operators, and make it easy to find a dealer – all while providing the same superior performance as a Peterbilt truck. Peterbilt was looking to move quickly, so we needed to get the site designed, developed, and launched in a short timeframe.

What we did
Using a Design Thinking approach, we successfully addressed Peterbilt's challenge of creating a website that embodies the brand's heritage, addresses the concerns of fleet buyers and owner-operators, and facilitates easy dealer location while maintaining superior performance standards. Our goals were to reinforce Peterbilt's brand promise as a technology company, convey proper messaging aligning the brand and products, and organize information for accessibility and control.


How we did it
Through understanding user needs, device usage, and behaviors, as well as gathering insights from the Peterbilt team and clients, we identified user personas and their goals, leading us to develop user journeys, sitemaps, and wireframes. This approach allowed us to reduce complexity, provide seamless interactivity, and deliver real-time information tailored to the audience.

Results
The outcome exceeded expectations, as the industry responded positively to the website's new look and functionality. This redesign positioned Peterbilt as a frontrunner in the industry, providing buyers with the ability to locate the closest dealer based on their current location easily. Dealers expressed satisfaction with the centralized platform, which offers tools to enhance truck sales. As a result, user satisfaction and website engagement increased significantly.
